The last fortnight has been busy.
I’ve kept up with my #PiBoIdMo – a picture book idea every day – just! The first week I was on a roll, but there have been times where it felt like I was just going through the motions, this fortnight. The occasional good idea, and a lot of rot. Then Saturday, I had three beaut ideas fall into place. So I ended the week feeling satisfied with my efforts. I’m currently sitting on 29 ideas (because I’ve been writing them all down – even if they don’t excite me) and I know I’ll meet the challenge of 30 ideas for November – though I will keep looking for one idea a day until the end of the month. Yesterday I decided to feed my creativity. I got baking. This is not a hat I wear regularly – but I was inspired!
And since my efforts were so quick and easy – and yummy (always a bonus) I thought I’d post them for any PiBoIdMo/NaNoWriMo participants in need of some tasty snacks.
In November I am going to undertake another writerly challenge – this time to come up with one picture book idea every day for the month of November. I don’t have to write the PB – just imagine 30 cracker ideas. (In truth, they don’t have to be crackers, but if they’re not, I don’t want them.) I say I don’t have to write the PBs – but I suspect that will be the greatest challenge… to have an exciting idea and not write it – yet.
