A picture is worth a thousand words … but a poet can say it in less!
Today’s challenge is to take a photo from a moment in your day, and write a poem inspired by the photo. Your poem can follow a form, or be free verse. It may rhyme… or not. This is your day to play without parameters.
Here are two poems I wrote at the start of Lockdown – when I was looking for joy in everyday moments.

What does your day look like?
If you’re in need of some inspiration, perhaps you’d like to play with one of these, below… (Or click on a pic for more options.)
Note: If you want to present the poem & pic as one complete image (optional), but don’t have a photo editing program, insert your picture into a Word document, select ‘wrap behind text’ (so the text overlays the photo), format your poem/picture, then take a screenshot of your finished document. Voilà!
Thank you so much for the Word tip. I never knew this, so I tried it out with your cow picture. I’ll post on Twitter for you to see. Tee hee!

Glad it helped, Margaret. And cute poem. I can see you saying it with your grandsons. (I love that pic!) 🙂
