Find fun stuff for kids, related to my picture book, ‘Miss Understood‘, illustrated by Beau Wylie and published by Scholastic Press. It’s a modern day take on the Three Little Pigs – where they’re exposed as little stinkers, telling porkie-pies! (Sadly, the wolf has been misunderstood, all these years.)
Educators, there are more great activities, including Teacher’s Notes, Australian Curriculum Links, reviews and interviews, under the relevant Books tab. Don’t forget to check them out, too!
🐺 Wolf in Sheep’s Clothes: Why is the wolf wearing Sheep’s clothes? It’s ALL explained in the book! And why are there two versions of this sheet? Well… I made the first version, drawing Miss Understood myself – freehand. (I was pretty chuffed! ) Beau Wylie also very kindly provided a template for the REAL Wolf in Sheep’s Clothes. (Thank-you, Beau!) Sooo… You get to choose which wolf to use. OR – you could mix it up and use both! (Either way, I’m so proud of my wolf, she’s staying!🤭)
🐺 Puns and Wordplay (Older kids): Match the saying to the meaning. If you’re stuck and can’t figure them out, ask an adult, and if they’re puzzled too, get the adult to help you leave a comment and I can get back to you.
🐺 Make a Mask: Download and print to card (or laminate) and you can be Miss Understood! (Instructions are printed on the reverse side.🐺)
🐺 Wolfing Words: Write a shape poem about a wolf.
