Today my twitter tweet chirruped a peck of poetry. A spiney, to be precise. I first read about it here at Travis’ site, and of course, decided to try some of my own. The three-lined poems weren’t planned (a spiney can be any length) but today three just seemed to fit.
The poem is in the titles, so if there is an author’s name (such as Catherine Gaskin) slipped in there, for the purpose of the poem, please ignore.
Just goes to show how important a good title is.
Thanks Greg for the Twitter heads-up and Travis for the intro. Now I’m looking forward to my next visit to the library, when I can really have some fun!

I see there is a form of poetry written from book titles called a cento. I’m assuming a spiney is the photographed version? (Sounds good to me!)
The Spiney seems like a lot of fun. I’m waiting til next week when I have an hour in a library with no one else in it. What to do? Spineys!

Glad you liked, Scope Notes. I see you chose my favourite, too.
This will make a great challenge for kids. Thinking of a lunchtime library activity…
